Travel back to the Renaissance for an hour of musical comedy gold in Something Rotten! JR. Adapted from the Broadway hit that Time Out New York hailed as "the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years," Something Rotten! JR. celebrates one undeniable truth: “nothing’s as amazing as a musical!”​

Rehearsals for our Summer Intensive program will be held Tuesdays & Thursdays 4-6pm in June, Monday-Thursday 9am-1pm in July with additional tech rehearsals 5-8pm the week of the performance. A more specific rehearsal schedule and additional audition information will be available by March 2026.

YTCC's Showstoppers are a special group of performers, hand-picked from the most talented, most dedicated and most enthusiastic members of the YTCC program. Made up of up to 20 local singers, dancers and actors ages 8-18, the Showstoppers tour around the area bringing their love of the arts to their community. In 2020, the Youth Theatre Carson City Showstoppers became a competitive team, competing and excelling at the Musical Theatre Competitions of America in Southern California.

In 2025, YTCC added the Rising Stars to our performance teams giving beginning and intermediate-level performers a chance to shine.
