Youth Theatre Carson City strives to be a model for excellence in theatre with an emphasis on quality theatre education and exceptional family entertainment. We do this by employing experienced instructors and theatre artists and local professionals as well as a host of talented, driven and devoted volunteers. Andie Wilkerson, M.A.
Artistic Director, Lead Instructor
Andie Wilkerson is an accomplished performer and director who has been a part of the Northern Nevada Arts Community for over 25 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Master of Arts degree in Theatre Education from Emerson College, Boston. Andie served for six years as the Artistic Director of the Brewery Arts Center's BAC Stage Kids, pioneered a new Drama program at Carson Middle School, and currently serves as the Theatre Arts instructor at Carson High School. She grew up a theatre kid in Carson City and is devoted to sharing her love of theatre and the arts in this community.
Briana Valley
Musical Director
Briana Valley grew up in Carson City participating in local Theatre programs. After graduating from Carson High School, she moved to Reno to obtain her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno. While at UNR, she enjoyed singing with the UNR Chamber Singers, performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City and at the National MENC convention in Milwaukee. Ms. Valley teachers choir and musical theatre at Carson Middle School and was awarded the OCEA Rookie of the Year Award in 2013.
Kelly Anderson
Company Manager
Kelly Anderson has been a part of the theatre community in Carson City for over 25 years serving as a Technician and Stage Manager for many local production companies. She serves as a para-professional at Carson Middle School where she works with students with special needs. She also is the Nursery leader at her church.
Scott Anderson
Techn ical Director
Scott Anderson has also been a part of the theatre community in Carson City and the surrounding areas for over 25 years both onstage and off. He is currently Chief Deputy to the Secretary of State of the State of Nevada and proud Poppa to his grandson, Henry.
Franceska Quintana
Volunteer Coordinator
Ms. Frankie has always had a love for sports, music, theatre, and dance. Although performing has never been an interest of hers, volunteering and helping others has been. With a Bachelors degree in Educational Counseling, Ms. Frankie has always known that she wanted to work with at-risk youth in her community. Employed with the Carson City School District as a Para-professional and a mother of 4, Ms. Frankie volunteers her time with youth organizations around Carson City. Keeping life exciting, busy and always on the go, Ms. Frankie's mottos are simple: "Family is Everything," "Be True to You," and "Have Fun Today!"
Michelle Pedersen
Volunteer Coordinator
Michelle Pedersen fell in love with theatre in high school where she got to spend a lot of time on stage, performing in several musicals. Motherhood took over as her priority and she was delighted when her children showed a similar interest in theatre, allowing her a chance to be a part of the magic once again. Michelle also serves as the President of Carson City Little League, where she has coached baseball for 9 years. Working with kids is definitely her happy place! She is the mother of 4 kids and the wife of a Firefighter Paramedic.
